other ways to donate
Stocks or IRA Giving
Gifts of stocks, mutual funds, or funds distributed from an IRA can be meaningful ways to support our work while sharing resources you’ve set aside over time. Contributing appreciated stock allows you to give its full value directly to the mission you care about, and gifts from an IRA can also be directed to support our efforts.
Please contact our Director of Development, G. Christo, at gina@newenglandinnocence.org or call 617-249-4605 for more information or upon making a stock transaction, so we can provide a tax receipt for your records once the stock has been received.
Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Donor-advised funds allow you to establish a charitable giving account in exchange for an immediate tax deduction. You can make a one-time gift or make monthly donations via your DAF by recommending a recurring grant.
Legacy Gifts
When you choose to include the New England Innocence Project in your estate, you’re creating a legacy centered on our shared mission of social and racial justice.
Already included us in your estate plan? Thank you for your generosity! Please let us know by emailing gina@newenglandinnocence.org or calling 617-249-4605.

NEIP partners with over 30 law firms, providing nearly 10,000 hours annually of pro bono legal services.
It takes a team of people and countless hours of legal work to overturn even one wrongful conviction. Each year, we receive hundreds of requests for assistance and manage more than 100 active investigations.
As a small independent nonprofit, we rely on pro bono support from legal professionals and law firms throughout New England who lend their time, skills, passion, and energy to help us fight wrongful convictions, support people working to rebuild their lives in freedom, and expose the systemic harms of the criminal legal system.
The important efforts of our pro bono partners enable us to have the most significant impact and create the most change.
Thank you to our Pro Bono Partners over the years!

Your support means everything.
Supporting this work enables people who have suffered so much to build a future in freedom, become active in their communities, and create memorable moments—such as raising children, holding their grandchildren, reuniting with their partners, mourning those they have lost while incarcerated, and spending cherished time with their families.
