Thank you to The Boston Foundation for Safety Net Grant

We are honored and deeply grateful to be among the 77 organizations selected for a Safety Net Grant by The Boston Foundation to support the Exoneree Network, a program led by and for individuals directly impacted by wrongful convictions and long-term incarceration.

Under the leadership of Director Sean Ellis, our team works tirelessly to provide trauma-informed, holistic support to exonerees, freed people, and their families as they navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives after years, often decades, of wrongful incarceration.

This funding will allow us to expand critical services like financial assistance, housing support, mental health care, technology training, and peer-led support circles. It also enables us to meet the urgent needs created by recent shifts in Massachusetts law, ensuring that those finally returning home have the community, resources, and dignity they deserve.

Collectively, the individuals we serve have endured over 1,035 years of wrongful incarceration. Freedom is only the beginning—together, we are working to ensure healing, stability, and opportunity for exonerees and their families.

Thank you to TBF, its donors, and the dedicated community reviewers for recognizing the importance of this work and helping us meet this critical moment.
