Your Support Makes a Big Impact
Impact Report: June 2024 - 2025
Every June, we take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made and recommit to the work ahead. Thanks to your support, we’re bringing hope, healing, and freedom to people who have been wrongfully convicted—and building a stronger community for all those impacted. This work is never easy. It’s emotional, complex, and often long. But your generosity makes it possible for someone to walk free, for a family to reunite, and for a new beginning to bloom.
As you can see in this year’s Impact Report below, when you make a gift to the New England Innocence Project, you help to:
Bring people home—free innocent individuals across New England and reunite them with their families, including people like Jason Carroll and Edward Wright.
Center the voices of the wrongfully convicted—amplify stories and shine a light on the devastating harms caused by wrongful convictions.
Address root causes—advocate for preventative measures to stop wrongful convictions before they happen and address the oppressive harms of the criminal legal system.
Advance meaningful policy change—push for reforms that open pathways to freedom and ensure compensation for the years stolen by injustice.
Support new beginnings—help individuals and their families rebuild their lives after long-term incarceration through comprehensive support, connection, and community.
