#WrongfulConvictionDay - Ronjon Cameron

October 4, 2016 Guest User

On September 15, 1999, Ronjon Cameron was arrested and charged with two counts of rape. A rape he did not commit. A rape that did not happen.

Ronjon spent more than a decade of his life in prison for a crime he did not commit. Now, roughly a year after his release, Ronjon is committed to helping further the innocence movement and reform the criminal justice system.

The New England Innocence Project is sharing Ronjon’s story today in honor of Wrongful Conviction Day, to raise awareness of the causes and remedies of wrongful conviction and to recognize the tremendous personal, social, and emotional costs of wrongful conviction for innocent people and their families.
